Saturday sight: Armenian quarter

This was a Saturday night in Israel earlier this year. We were having dinner in a restaurant within the Armenian quarter in Jerusalem. (The quarters are Muslim, Jewish, Christian & Armenian – the peoples first to adopt Christianity.)

While unsettling at first, you do become desensitized to the rifles because they’re everywhere. And ironically we always felt safe, likely because Israel has the world’s best secret service and because it is incredibly safe.
